My juvenile sulcata, Bob Dole, exhibits some funny behavior before he eats in the mornings. He bobs his head (hence the name)and smacks his lips while standing over his food. The head bobs are slight and fairly quick but are done with the neck still in the shell. The lip smacking occurs simultaneously. He sometimes yawns as well but I wonder if the bobbing and smacking are related to his morning behavior as are the yawns, or are they something else? If anyone has advice, literature, web links, etc. I would appreciate it.
