Did you ever email Mary Hopson, or was it Lara that I suggested that too?
Anyway Mary's email link is at the bottom of her Malayan web site.
I'm sure she would offer you some good advise.

Also the water temperature could be the reason she doesn't want to stay in it.

If it's not warm enough turtles can become inactive.So make sure you follow recommended temperatures carefully.
