In Reply to: Is T-Rex Dry tortoise food O.K. to feed Sulcata? posted by TF24 on January 18, 2001 at 12:11:51:
I personally don't recommend any commercial foods as a regular part of the diet, just on hand for emergencies only. However, this doesn't apply to omnivorous or aquatics, just speaking about sulcatas. T-Rex formula I believe has a very high protein % which would not be good for feeding the sulcata, if you are going to use a commercial food for emergencies, I recommend Pretty Pets brand. I would stick to the use of natural greens and as close to the natural diet of a sulcata as possible. Try www.turtlecafe.net and www.herpnutrition.com for althenate feeding/supplementation products. Good luck!
