Utah deserts are the furthest north they're found in the wild.

Yes, it is too cold in Idaho right now! Even the tortoises here in the high desert are hibernating.
I have attached one pic here...if you are from Vegas you've undoubtedly seen one before, and yes, they are a federally protected species under the endangered species act.

I would love to keep it as a pet but I'm not sure I can I am native to las vegas area and I know they are indangered down there, but I didnt think they lived this far north. do they? Can I keep it? if so, is'nt it too cold for it outside in idaho...? help.
