Hi,
try mixing aloe vera (the plant) into the pellets, it works as a mild laxative.
Long term a better diet as Terry mentions will help.
Also you can try a baby warm soak and scrub gently the underside of the shell with a soft old toothbrush.

: Hi.
: try getting it to eat other foods, not just reptomin which is very high in protein.
: Try boiled chicken chopped into tiny pieces and mix in fruits/veggies.
: I would soak him daily as well as making sure that soaking water is always available.
: You can use a flat/shallow tupperware lid for baby turtles. ( easy to get in and out of).
: Or you can raise his enclosure ( if it's waterproof) slightly at one end, about an inch and fill the lower end with water.
: This will allow him to scuttle down and soak whenever he wants.

: Try and get him off his adiction to reptomin, mix in chopped apple and other fruits/veggies and greens.

: They might not pass a stool daily, but if you're worried, the soakings will help.

: My first hatchling 3 toed was also a bit adicted to reptomin and grew too quickly and even pyramided slightly.I had him indoors for the first couple of months.
: I now leave the hatchlings outdoors, they grow very slowly and eat anything. I've seen them munching on apple, papaya, bugs they hunt, anything.
: Terry.
