I was referring to Richard Carey Paull, who is a very nice guy who raises many sulcatas. Perhaps I should have not used the term "guru," since he himself is the first to self-disclaim that he is definitely NOT a vet. He has his own way and approach to sulcata care, and that is not always the approach that that vets would advise. But he is a very approachable guy who loves tortoises who has hands-on experience with raising sulcatas of all ages, and aldabras and galapagos tortoises as well. Before I discovered this forum, he was the only other person I knew who reared Sulcatas that I could consult about life's mundane questions like "Chanel just consumed a large sharp rock will he die or pass it," and "Is Albrecht Angel Baby being traumatized when Chanel mounts him/her," and "how old are tortoises when they reach sexual maturity and are capable of reproducing." Those kinds of questions. You can reach him by looking at his website of Green Nature books http://www.greennaturebooks.com/. Remember, he is not a vet nor does he pretend to be.
