Well, that's a huge shame. I can't really understand why anyone would buy an animal knowing that they can't provide for it properly.But I guess some do.

I started with a sub adult sulcata because I didn't want to wait for a hatchling to grow up.
But I knew that I had both the room and the climate for it.

There's no way I would have even considered a sulcata if I lived in a cold climate.
Unless we won the lottery and I could build a huge state of the art indoor enclosure.

I admire those who can and do keep them in colder climates. Keep them properly that is.

But I'm sure Marissa will have quite a few more to find homes for in the coming years, as all those cute little hatchlings bought on impulse grow up.
