: wouldn't even consider buying it." I think the vast majority of people think the same thing as they did with iguanas, that being "it won't live long enough to get that big." I don't have a sulcata and never will because I don't have the space for it and I live on the east coast with our winters. But I will always admire and enjoy learning about them. It truly is a shame what these animals are sometimes put through.

hello, my name is meaghan and i have recently been given an african spurred tortoise... i am aware this turtly will be HUGE someday but my problem is getting this little guy on a good diet and knowing exactly how to care for him. I have proper heating and keep the temp at about 80F all of the different books i read contrast in what to feed him. he is very small and i want him to live a long and happy turtle life. any suggestions??? thanks for your help.
