The air temperature is one thing, dropping quickly
at night, however the surface and subsurface temperatures
of the earth & dirt there have been baking all
day, It's cooler yes, but hardly 60 degrees!
I do not let mine drop that cold, he has a
nighttime ceramic heater on a thermostat and
I keep him about 78 near the entrance of his
hay house, and he sleeps near the front or slightly
back in the hay house at night. He can of course
also move to a cooler place but he doesn't at night.
