Hi Julie, Many Hingebacks found at P/stores are badly dehydrated. Keep providing water for him?her to soak in . As most wild caught torts. have a large worm load , a vet is all ways the best bet for an accurate fecal exam. My Hinges love earthworms, slugs, mealworms, waxworms, yellow squash, peppers and banana.. They are somewhat shy and burrow deeply in to the large timothy hay nest I provide them . Once a week from early fall to early spring I place my herd in the shower and they void, drink and often mate. They are most active in the morning and afternoon .Though full spectrum light is provided I never see them bask.
