I had my two desert torts in a carpeted wooded 3 sided with a roof box to hibernate on the patio. Well, about 2 weeks ago I lifted the lid and noticed only my male Bougeousie Bordeaux was inside. So I started combing the backyard for the little female, Toulouse Lautrec. I looked in the backyard for 2 hours, no Toulouse. I feared the rain would come soon, and looked again the next day, no Toulouse. Well, yesterday, Ed was in garage in his "wood shop" and she was tucked away under one of his power tools. Boy, was that a great sigh of relief when she was found. I knew that she could not have escaped out of the backyard, so I knew she was somewhere. She is back with her mate, safe and sound in their enclosure.
