We agree with the daytime temps of 85-90. At night we use a ceramic heater type bulb and have a blanket around the cage.
As for the noises, this may sound strange but it is true.
Our Male Sulcata Joshua was chirping alot. We had him to the vet for a plastrom problem and mentioned it to the vet. Upon further examination it was discovered that little Joshua's Nostrils had some skin over them. A bit of scraping by the Vet and viola not more chirping. His plastrom problem was also fixed!
So if your in So California and need a vet I recommend Dr Ridgeway at the Long Beach Animal Hospital. Very personable, and reasonably priced to boot!
