I made a wooden tray about 4ft.x 2 1/2 ft. x 4" deep. It's filled with lizard litter about 2 1/2" dp. for light and heat there is a 100w lizard light in a chrome clip on dome about 2ft. above. the temp in that area is around 88 degrees but he can position himself to what ever distance from that area he's the most comfortable. At night there is a 60w black lizard light. I'm wondering if the 100w is too bright and blinding him?. He also rubs the side og his face on his arm alot but there's nothing visible on either side. I'm thinking of getting a 3ft. flourecent vita light and just using the black for heat all the time. It's in the basement so the room is dark except for the spots. I feed it romain, red leaf, escarole and sometimes thin slivers of carrot or zuccini along with reptical every feeding. The store said this is fine and I know this guy has been breeding them for years so I figured he knows whats right.
I've tried feeding grass but when it's on the pile he won't eat anything. that's about all the facts I could think of to supply you guys with. Thanks for your concern and help.
Gary and Speedy
