Hi the Testudo torts, Russian, Hermann's , Ibera....... are quite small as adults.
However they do hibernate,( don't hibernate them the first year, or unless you're sure they'e 100% healthy) most Russians are wild caught and are often infested with worms or have other health problems, but can be wonderful little torts.
A captive bred Hermann's or Ibera might be a better choice.

If you want a species that doesn't hibernate, a Red Foot might be a good choice, not as small though.
