If he is getting up early it's probably best to keep him up. I don't know where you're located, but the winter here was mild. Sometimes when they wake up early they are sick. (Last year I lost a russian who got up early) Please watch him carefully to be sure he is feeling ok.

: We have a desert tortoise that we've had for about 9 years now.
: For some reason this year he has decided to wake up about 5 weeks early.

: My question is, should i go ahead and let him get up, or should i try to get him to hybernate for a month longer? I'm just not sure if this will mess him up towards the end of the year, and if he may want to hybernate a month early.

: Any info would be helpful.
: Thanks! :)
