: Hi Lisa,
: when you say fresh clippings do you mean grasses?
: I would add some variety to his diet, the grass is great but he also needs some wetter foods.
: Dandelions, Romaine, Endive, Escarole, a little grated yellow squash, carrot or yam every few days.

: EJ do you see that :)

: Although sulcatas need a diet high in fiber and grasses provide that, for a small sulcata i'd add wetter foods daily, mixing the grass clippings in with the greens.

: Make sure he has a water dish with clean water always available. I use a sunny delight lid for little Hoku, who drinks from it daily.
: Also soak him for around 5-10 minutes every 2-3 days,or at least twice a week in very shallow lukewarm water. The water should only reach the bottom of his chin.

: As he gets bigger you can soak less and feed a diet higher in grass content.
: Hope this helps,
: Terry.

And when should I become concerned? Yes, the clippings are grass that I have grown indoors. I've tried to get him to eat some cactus, but he doesn't seem interested. He always has water which he walks through regularly (and drinks)and is soaked daily.
