Hi Kay, sorry for missing your post, I must be going blind! Anyway, I read your answers, things sound pretty good...RNS or respiratory illness is common and can come on suddenly. I would caution you to adding more heat to combat a respiratory illness...added heat can do more damage in dehydration unnecessarily than good. Keep the temperatures regulated in their normal and previous ranges and keep a close eye on the tortoise. If you see this continue or worsen over the next few days...a vet visit can't hurt. If it stays the same or diminishes keep an eye on it still...if you see any other symptoms such as runny nose, eyes, coughing, sneezing, extreme lethargy, loss of appetite, abnormal stool or urine, then definitely get the tortoise to a vet to be examined. I know how it can get when you notice something and are not sure....my Ibera makes beak clicking noises...for weeks I thought it was his breathing and was prepping for an ER vet visit...
