I did this when I had a 60 watt bulb in the hood
for my kingsnake who was temporarily (4 days)
having to stay in a tarantula cage (who had to stay
in a small plastic cage! LOL). Somebody bought
the snakes big 120 gallon enclosure and we needed
to make another one really quick.
In the meantime, this is how I kept that 20 Long
from overheating him dangerously.
Using a clamp I eleveated the hood slightly.
