This brings up another point, Micro-habitat. You can create what ever habitat the animal likes on what ever scale you like.
: I have 3, and I'm in Jacksonville. They are doing great. I think for these African types it's best to get them cb in the state they were born in, that way their already adapted. I wouldn't keep them out in the Florida rain or in damp conditions and you should build an enclosure in your yard on the dryest side, or do what I did and change the yard to promote dry instead of damp. They do fair best in the low humidity states but you can have great results with them here too.
