My biggest, Chanel, is about 3 2/3 years old, and he is 15 1/2 pounds and 13 1/2 inches shell-length. My younest, Albrecht, is almost 3 and is 11 1/2 pounds and 12 inches long.

I am especially proud of Albrecht's growth, since he had numerous difficulties to overcome his first year due to a pet-shop's mistreatment, and many vets told me that he would never get larger than a roll of tape due to his junior osteoperosis and broken leg and other health problems - they said he only had a 20% chance of living. Happy to say: that pet store is out of business, and Albrecht is huge, fat and healthy! So growth rates vary largely according to each animal's situation.

MY pointer is: if you want them to get very big, feed them a properly balanced diet and give them lots of direct sunlight outside in a warm climate.
