OK, I'll 3rd what Ed said. My vet tested Teddy's
neurological reflexes by turning him over deliberately
lying him on a towel on the floor, to see if/how
he would turn back over. She said she didn't want
to do this on the exam table, as it's possible they
could fall of course, but also that they can "sense"
that they're high and might not try to turn over.
As to yours, is he able to climb on something to
turn over? Where was he when it happened, and what
all do you have in his tank? To me the worst
are those half logs they sell as hides, since they're
tempting to climb and tumble backwards off of. I use
a half log that we made, and the bottom is narrower
than the top so he can't attempt to climb it.
