Some concern has been raised over King Karl Kruiser's candidacy for tortoise photograph of the month of January at the Turtletimes because of a rumor that he eats dogfood. Press secretary for the Kruiser Camp, Giovanni dismissed the allegations in a phone interview as "Ludicrous" and "Defamitory"
"It is apparent that this is a ploy from the RES camp to secure their winning in the January photo contest at the Turtletimes. Karl Kruiser's diet consist's of only fiberous greens, hay, cactus and various weeds and grasses in the yard. Karl has admitted to "chewing" dog food once, but never swallowed." Giovanni also went on to re assure the voters that Karl leads a clean lifestyle without animal proteins. Currently Karl Kruiser and Myrtle the red eared slider are neck and neck in the pollings at the Turtletimes.
