Hello,

Please visit this page, and lend your name in support of protecting our still pristine Mojave desert, and the still wild tortoises which live within it.

We are down to the wire here and the Desert Tortoise desperately needs all the public support it can get!!!

Please also feel free to forward this petition anywhere you think it may help.

Further information may be found on the page itself
http://www.tortoiseaid.org/cdtpetition.html

Contact information is also available to contact your congresspeople and senators.

Your help is badlyt needed and greatly appreciated.

"The Fort Irwin expansion offers no new jobs. "Fort Irwin is not going to close if it cannot expand. This deal offers nothing to the people in the High Desert except for more air pollution, less public land and the loss of a species that is symbolic of the entire region, the entire state. ... We will do everything we can to stop this from happening."
