Romaine is one of the better staples as far as store bought greens go. What you need to look for is the hard, dark, bitter leaves that most produce sections throw out. These are the highest in fiber and everything else the plant produces.
It gives you the fiber, protein and moisture without any of the other elements that if fed in excess causes problems. Again this is not recomended as a sole source but as a base filler.(at least that is the way I have used it.)

: Romaine lettuce is really not a great food for sulcata, there are other greens you can get from the grocery store if that is where you must shop that are better. I feel tomatoes should not be fed to sulcata due to their high acidity level. I would recommend reading some care sheets and informational websites. My care sheet is below.
