Nope they're not related but they do eat whatever smells good to them and whatever looks interesting. Mine like the looks of my toenails and it was cute when they were small but not now at 15 and 30 lbs. One of ours when small use to eat small pebbles. We didn't know it until our son saw him doing it. We took him in and had him x rayed and the vet came out and called him Rocky. Luckly he passed them little bits at a time. We kept him away from rocks after that. They'll eat dog poop also, so keep them away from that if you can. Dog food even recycled isn't good for them. Our females main goal in life is to get into the dog run for a poop platter. She manged to do it maybe twice a couple of years ago and hasn't forgotten. Must be related to elephants too. LOL
