: I have raised Tortellini and Antonio, African Spurs, since three weeks old. I lost Tortellini, my pride and joy female, two weeks ago to what we think was a respirtory infection. She would have been 4 this Christmas.I am located in South Florida. I don't want to lose Antonio so I built a hutch and wrapped it in tar paper and layed roof shingles on top to keep out moisture and installed a ceramic heating element. I also put some hay inside.
So sorry about your loss. We know how it feels. We lost our Jamboa almost two years ago December 4th and were devastated. We live in Calif. so I'm of no help to you. Just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you.
: Do you suggest anything else? I have a pig blanket on order as well. I am also in search of a new mate for him. He weighed in at 14lbs last month. Tortellini was almost 35lbs which I am told was extraordinary for her age. I am interested in getting in touch with other Sulcata owners in the Ft. Lauderdale area.
