I have raised Tortellini and Antonio, African Spurs, since three weeks old. I lost Tortellini, my pride and joy female, two weeks ago to what we think was a respirtory infection. She would have been 4 this Christmas.I am located in South Florida. I don't want to lose Antonio so I built a hutch and wrapped it in tar paper and layed roof shingles on top to keep out moisture and installed a ceramic heating element. I also put some hay inside.
Do you suggest anything else? I have a pig blanket on order as well. I am also in search of a new mate for him. He weighed in at 14lbs last month. Tortellini was almost 35lbs which I am told was extraordinary for her age. I am interested in getting in touch with other Sulcata owners in the Ft. Lauderdale area.
