Hello friends and help!: We have 2 Greek torts 11 years old. We live in Maine and have never hibernated them though they do go quite inactive. WE keep them in the dining room on the flkoor and the thermostat for the room is at 62 at night and 79 when we're home with the correct vita light over them, a ceramic heat light above them, and two very low steady heat rocks underneath their pen. We now also throw a towell over them at night, turn off the ceramic and leave on the warmth underneath. Our question is this: how many hours of light should they have? Is warmth underneath better than warmth from above? Even with heat and light they just stay where they are. They do eat fairly regularly. Thanks so much for the help.
