We give skeeter baths in a bathtub. It's "Her" tub.
Whenever we have guests, we clean it before they use
it of course, and again afterward for Skeeter's
protection, but otherwise it's reserved for her
weekly bath. It's perfect because we put just enough
water in that she can go to the "deep end" near the
drain to have water up to her neck, or come totally
out of the water on the other end if she wants. Also
very easy to change the water mid-bath if it gets
dirty.

: That's good that he's doing better, I soaked Ted
: frequently now about once a week or so only.
: Be extra careful with the shallow pan, whatever
: you're using, be positive he can't flip over
: into it while climbing in or out. This came
: up once before too, aparently torts can die
: getting "trapped" in their water bowls. I use
: a plant saucer that is wider on the bottom than
: at the top, like a volcano, shallow, and easy
: to climb up and down the sides, there's no real
: "ledge" to trip over. He's a bit of a bigger
: clod-hopper now anyways, but I still use this
: type, just the larger ones for him! Even my
: geckos have this type of water bowl.
: I see Teddy drinking water in the morning, when he
: doesn't see me peeking, about every 3rd day I'd
: say. So they do use it. niki
