I use a Lizard Carpet (can't remember the brand name)
which is great for traction and soaking up liquid.
It is also washable, and 2 come to a pack. On top of this,
I put a layer of timothy hay, which Skeeter eats, but not
to excluson of her regular food. It's a good fiber
source.
: I have had my little sulcatas for about 6 months. I have tried Rabbit pellets(which gave them respatory disease), pain old timothy hay(which gave them respatory disease even though I changed it often), carefresh(which they seemed to enjoy eating), and currently have them on aspen and a little separate section of hay. What I have been whitnessing is that the two torts walk over to the hay, take some in their mouths, walk back over to the aspen and burry it. Then I see them dig it up and eat it also consoming some of the aspen as they do this. I swear to the lord himself that my torts have been doing this. I have been observing it for the past 2 weeks and it is really worrying me. I currently house them in an altered 40gallon breeder but am planning to build them a 4x8ft tort table. I have been planning to use orchard grass hay as bedding but am concerned that it might a give them respatory disease as timothy had. I just want whats best for them and I have the hundreds of dollars in vetbills, food bills, etc to prove it. Please let me know thanks and sorry for the long post
