Yes, you can still plant food items for your Sulcata to eat, there is really no need to change diet...many people successfully do this in trays, windowsill boxes, etc. and then either cut it off with scissors and offer it, or have several trays going at one time, offering one to the tortosie, while the other ones continue to grow. When your tort grazes one to a short length, remove it to regrow and replace it with another.
: I have to relocate to an apartment temporarily. I plan on constructing temporary housing on the patio outside. Unfortunately, my sulcata will be unable to graze during this time. Any suggestions on how I accomodate my tortoise? Is there any substitute for grasses/hays that he is used to eating?
