: Hi, I have had an African Leopard Tortiose for 3yrs now. He has had a cold a couple of times. It was hard to treat him because there are no vets in my area that have ever delt with them. I had to get on here to help my vet. Don't get me wrong, he researched it too. I'm just checking to see if her sneezing is anything to worry about. Two weeks ago, she sneezed several times throughout the morning. She stopped, but today I heard her sneeze a few times. I don't want to take her to the vet if I don't have to. It's nor the money problem, but it seems to be a real tramatic experience for her. Anyways now that I've gone on to far....any suggestions. I've been a huge worrier the past 3 years because I'd die if Tordy died because I didn't know what to look for when sh's sick. O.k. I'll stop now!!!:)
Hi,
I would keep an eye on this and raise the heat at night to help increase her immune system.
Are you soaking her? Be sure and dry her off real good afterwards and don't let her catch a draft.
If her appetite is at all effected, or you see a single other symptom, run don't walk to the vet is my motto.
take care,
tcc :)
