I'm just after a little bit of advice on what substrate would be
the best to use for a Greek Tortoise? I understand that it would
be better of outside but unfortunately the tortoise does not
belong to me and I am just trying to improve its environment. I
can't use rabbit pellets because I live in New Zealand and they
are not made in the same way here, I have been told that they
would more than likely grow mould spores very quickly. I have
spent ages trying to figure it out as everyone seems to have
different opinions. What do you all think about the use of coarse
sand and spaghum (sp?) moss, with clumps of timothy hay. He/she
will also have a number of rocky areas, some driftwood, and a
very shallow water dish in a 4 foot tank.
Sorry about the length of this post and thank-you for your help,
Becca
