Neat info. I have leopards, kleinmanns and Greeks that have bred for me. The leopards have gone as many as 7 clutches in a season. Every 29 or so days. The egyptians have also gone 7 clutches. Same cycle. The leopards have laid up to 20 eggs but 9 - 13 is more the norm. I know redfoots are a totally different animal but if you look through the litterature on tortoises you can see similarities. This (cycle and number) are some of them.
: Ok, here is an update on my redfoots which started fighting about a week and a half ago. They are still separated. The female laid 9, yes, 9 eggs last night!! I was so shocked!! This is her third time in the last 4 months! The first time was 5, second time was 7 and now 9. So I figure she is pissed at him and doesn't want him anywhere near her.
: Is this an excessive frequency to laying or normal?
