That's good that he's doing better, I soaked Ted
frequently now about once a week or so only.
Be extra careful with the shallow pan, whatever
you're using, be positive he can't flip over
into it while climbing in or out. This came
up once before too, aparently torts can die
getting "trapped" in their water bowls. I use
a plant saucer that is wider on the bottom than
at the top, like a volcano, shallow, and easy
to climb up and down the sides, there's no real
"ledge" to trip over. He's a bit of a bigger
clod-hopper now anyways, but I still use this
type, just the larger ones for him! Even my
geckos have this type of water bowl.
I see Teddy drinking water in the morning, when he
doesn't see me peeking, about every 3rd day I'd
say. So they do use it. niki
