Russian like to dig. Let him dig. his diggin his tank. He's diggin the substrate. He's groovin with it man.... let him dig away.
but seriously, I give my russian tons of substrate and he digs through it all day long.

: My russian tortise won't stop digging . He is in a 15 gallon aquarium and digs through the bedding until he hits the glass bottom and then he continues to dig as if he's trying to dig through the glass . What can I do to stop this . Should I put him in a bigger tank with deeper bedding in it . What kind of bedding should I use . Right now I have wood chips in the tank . Do they like sand , petemoss , or what . Should I cover the sides and the bottom of the tank with something so he can't see through the glass . Input would be greatly appreciated , Thank you .

: P.S. Where could I find Caresheets On Russian Tortises
