: But, they still are upset with one another. The female instantly went after the male. And he retaliated with "open mouth" attack once more. (I am there the whole time and don't let any contact actually happen) So , I guess there is still trouble in paradise!! Will it pass?
Conch....sounds like she wants her own space. I have no idea if it will pass. We wonder about our two. We have two sulcatas. The male 8 yrs, 30 lbs., is twice the size and age of the female. When we finally put them together, several months after we got Tonka, he kept at her constantly and got no where. We never left them alone without supervision. One day we're out in the yard with them and she decides she's had it with him and flipped him. Being smaller, she just dug under him and over he went. Another time as we were building a new enclosure under the patio, Tonka made the mistake of strolling past Buzzy's door and she didn't want him there, she came out of her house really fast and rammed him. He on ocassion has gone at her with mouth open also but she has never done it to him. It is funny, the vet had said he thought Buzzy was female all along. We kept saying that we thought there was no way of telling sex until older, but Tonka REALLY thinks Buzzy is female and really wants her. The minute they're together and he sees her, he'll come running from the other side of the yard. Lately he hasn't been in such a hurry to try and mount her.....maybe he thinks a slow courtship might make her give in LOL
