First make sure it is really a Texas Tort. You need to know for sure what kind of tortoise you have before you can determine the care required.

Second do not mix tortoise species,this is a good way to spread R(unny)N(ose)S(yndrome) or viruses.

Third have a vet familiar with tortoises check both of them out.

Good luck with your new torts.
