I've been on several Kingsnake forums for a few years now,
and have seen lots of people come and go. There are some
simple things that those that use forums frequently
do, that seem obvious and polite but they are not
obvious to newcomers apparently. Here's a few tips
I've noticed if you plan to stick around for a while
which is a good thing to do for your tortoises sake.

1. thicken your skin, don't take things personally
and give people the benefit of the doubt that they
don't mean it in a bad way (not doing so usually
makes you come off as a whiner, little kid, or
immature adult)

2. try to respond sometimes when people have spent
the time typing in things for your information. A
simple "thanks guys" as a group thank you for several
posts giving you information is appreciated. (not
doing so seems like you don't even bother to read
the responses and people will be leary of wasting
their time helping out any more)
