You might consider a space for a small water dish. Mine seem to like to wallow in the dish just as much as any other species. Just watch the humidity since they will spill the water if given a chance. I usually fill it about once a week and give them a soak once a month or so.
I'm not sure what critter country pellets are, but if they are absorbent be sure to change them if they get wet. I keep mine on dry cypress mulch. I would avoid alfalfa-based pellets since they can get mucky pretty quick and may be a little high in protein if regularly eaten by the 'cakes.
I assume you are using UVB bulbs in the fixture. The heat lamps will help keep things dry in the glass tank, but be sure to give them cool retreats away from the heat.
: I'm receiving two pancake torts on Tuesday and i was wondering if I needed anything extra besides what I currently have. Right now i have a hundred gallon tank, with critter country pellets. I have a 48 inch flourescent fixture and two heat lamps. There is a large bark hut along with a two foot by two foot rocky area with various caves and crevices. I know proper temp for day and night. Can you think of anything else that i need? Thanks
