Hi Jason, I'd say any of the Mediterranean tortoises would be good for you...they stay manageable sized and look good and are pretty personable. My local reptile shop is selling Testudo Ibera CB '98's. I love the Ibera, I have a hatchling (almost juvie) who is great. I am not sure of geography, but our co-Assistant Director (Turtle Homes Asia) Mike Nesbit lives in Illinois, not sure where. You should write to him as he has extensive setups and local contacts. If you live near him, you might be able to hook up and have him help you out. He can be reached at mike@turtlehomes.org. Tell him I sent you. Feel free to write me as well!
