Thank you Georgia. I think the change in temp may be the problem. When I was putting him outside it was like 55 degrees for about an hour, and then raises to up to 80 to 90 in the sun. When I take him back in at night it was close to 75 degrees. It has been drastically cooler outside so he hasn't been let out. I guess I was trying to be hopefull with the blankets.
His nose isn't running, he looks healthy, his stool is normal. He has just been sluggish. It could possibly be that he hasn't been kept properly warm - which would be my fault :-(. At least it hasn't been for a long period of time. I know he doesnt like it indoors... he might be mad at me for keeping him inside. :-(
I am going to build him a nice warm indoor enclosure but have it have the outdoor atmosphere, and see how he is after a week or two. If it persists I will take him to a vet. I ahve called around, it is not easy to find a vet that deals with this type of turtle... but I know there out there - eventually I will find one.
