I found it unclear from the original post whether a vet was even involved in the diagnosis and prescription. The poster did however mention *his* years of experience and how *he* had relied on Baytril for treating worms. Baytril is a one of the most widely prescribed veterinary antibiotics and I find it very difficult to imagine any vet making that mistake. It compounds this tragedy to think that this animal was lost through the folly of "home" treatment with prescription drugs without veterinary consultation.
