: because it's not soft or flaky or anything like that. It just looks like someone has taken a few specs of powder and sprinkled it on the very tops of their shells. It could very well be mineral deposits from the water because I have seen a white "frosty/powdery" look on my drinking glasses after water had dried up from the bottom of them. When I get my digital camera I'll post another message with pics so you experienced keepers can take a look at them. I'm probably over reacting, but if it did look bad I would have certainly taken them to a vet by now. I'm just curious about this and I do appreciate everyone's comments.
