Some keepers believe the cause is excessive protien. Wrong. The only thing we can be sure of at this point is that the cause is a nutritional/environmental imbalance. That is why I stress variety in diet(no animal protein)(you seem to have that covered), calcium and the means to metabolize it, water available at all times and a good temperature gradient, 70 - 100 for sulcatas. I would be very surprised if you did not raise a nice looking animal under these conditions.
