: Please forgive me for not speaking up until now but I have 2 sulcata hatchlings and have come to a conclusion about torst in general for having them. My conclusion is that torts are just like children. You have to bathe them, feed them, take them to the doctor for shots/chenckups/colds, spend time with them, provide a safe and appropriate enviroment for them and in return for your services you get to watch them grow up and even out live you. Honestly I think it is appropriate to say that all tort owners who do as much as possible to provide for their torts are or one day will make excelent parents for thier human children. This is just something I have noticed and thought I would see if anyone on the fourm agrees or disagrees with me.

i agree with you. My hatchling sulcata is my substitute for the child that we are not ready to have. My parents and his mother even baby it, lol. We are even setting up the spare bedroom to be its room. There is really no other place inside to have a setup big enough to give him the space he needs. But, I do tend to it just like a child.
