Hi,
Redfeet do need a *small* (tiny) amount of protein.
Meal Worms are high in fat, but do have necessary amino acids that these guys do require.
If your worried about diet info, mail me off list at: tcc266@swbell.net and I will hunt down info for you ok?

: Hi everyone, I work at Petco, and I'm in the retail part, not much in the livestock area, but I was setting up a new store, and they had 2 redfoot tortoises.....I saw in their food dish...chopped up cucumbers, tomatos and meal worms....I asked the girl "reptile specialist" why there were meal worms in the dish, and she said, "because they eat it, how do you think they get their protien?" I didnt want to argue with her, because I had work to get finished, but is this a proper diet for a redfoot? If its not, please tell me what is, so I can print it out, and tape it to her forehead next time I visit that store.
