: Hi,

: My Russian Tort as also become a bit lazy now that the cooler weather is setting in, I live in Southern California and my tort is housed in a 4 ft x 6 ft indoor tub. He comes out of his hay tunnel for about an hour or two each day...gets some lighting, eats a lil every couple days and then the rest of the time he is burrowing and sleeping. Will he be ok for the rest of the winter if he does this each day, or will do you think he will stop coming up each day pretty soon? I soak him about once a week in warm water and he also has a water dish. I keep his basking lite on longer now so he has more heat but he still doesnt come out. What can I do to keep him more active?
