No need to soak your sulcata every day. Every other day is fine for a hatchling,3 times a week.
You can also leave water in the enclosure, a flat , shallow tupperware lid works well for small hatchlings.
As the tortoise grows, you can soak less, once or twice a week for sulcatas over a year old.Once a week for juveniles, but make sure drinking/soaking water is available too.
I currently have 2 juvenile sulcatas 9", I soak them once every two weeks if that. However they are housed outdoors year round and have shallow plant pot saucers of water to drink and soak in.
My adult fully grown sulcata, and my sub adult both way over 60lbs, I never soak.
They too are housed outdoors year round and will drink or walk through the sprinkler every now and then.
If your sulcata is housed indoors a 10 minute soak 3 times a week is fine for a hatchling - yearling. But leave very shallow water in with it so it can drink and soak on it's own too.
