I changed the table by a old big glass, so it will be out of shadow.

This pen is 6m x 5m (20'x 16'),

Your idea is quite good, but a lot of work, so I will do it in the most desirable nesting areas.

I have also a protected area of 2'x 7' this is made with greenhouse plastic and good ventilation, so inside is not dark and hotter than outside.

Pardalis use it but not very often (just the reverse of the sulcatas).

So I put a lot of small protected areas (inversed plastic trays, 1'x 2' and 1' deep), with one or two sides removed for good access in their favourite sleeping points. This sleeping poins are all north oriented and always under shadow.

The weather here is dry subtropical (Canary Islands, NW Africa), not cold, but anyway I am in the way of heating the covered areas with heat pads (pig blankets) regulated by a thermostat.
